  • Healthcare Without Harm

    Health Care Without Harm is a nonprofit organization that works to transform health care worldwide so that it reduces its environmental footprint, becomes a community anchor for sustainability and a leader in the global movement for environmental health and justice. Abundant resources include this Global Road Map for Health Care Decarbonization.

  • Medical Society Consortium

    To facilitate the medical community’s awareness-raising efforts, the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health brings together associations representing over 700,000 clinical practitioners to carry messages on the harms of climate change, the need to move to more efficient and cleaner energy sources, and the resulting beneficial impacts on health.

  • Greener NHS

    In October 2020, the NHS became the world’s first health service to commit to reaching carbon net zero, in response to the profound and growing threat to health posed by climate change. The “Delivering a Net Zero Health Service” report sets out a clear ambition and two evidence-based targets.

  • National Academy of Medicine

    Recognizing the critical need to address climate change through health sector leadership, the National Academy of Medicine launched the Action Collaborative on Decarbonizing the U.S. Health Sector, a public-private partnership of leaders from across the health system committed to addressing the sector’s environmental impact while strengthening its sustainability and resilience.
